Although when the end of the day is complete with a beautiful married couple any season is a win, we wanted to highlight why fall weddings in Colorado are extra special!  So, get your wedding planner, or put your wedding planner hat on and read on to decide if a fall wedding might be the season you choose!

Essentially, it’s the combination of near perfect weather with warm days and cool nights and the beautiful fall golden leaves (especially aspen trees) which create the perfect backdrop for you fall Colorado wedding.  You just can’t get a better combination to say “I DO” than in the fall season in southwest Colorado!

Fall weddings are becoming more popular in Western Colorado because:

-Smaller crowds than summer in Colorado.  Most kids are in school in the fall so our little corner of the world is less busy than the summer months.

-Do you like wedding pie instead of wedding cake?  Well, then you should consider Fall ... as wedding pies might be fitting!

-The pictures you will get will be amazing!  There is nothing prettier than the Telluride area of Colorado and a professional photographer having just the right amount of light and color to frame you, the happy couple, on your fall wedding day of your dreams!

There are many wedding venues on the Western Slope to chose from but Antler Ridge Weddings services Grand Junction, Delta, Gunnison, Ouray and Telluride. And is also known for being a "destination wedding venue". Did you know that Montrose Regional Airport is the second largest in the state? It makes it easy for your guest to fly in and out of. If you have a lot of out of town guest please read our blog on Why have a mid-week wedding? Montrose is a great place to have a destination wedding.....your guest will enjoy visiting Telluride and Ouray. They are both ski towns. We also have hiking and biking trails. The Black Canyon of the Gunnison is only 20 minutes from the venue. Fall on the Western Slope is the start of Fall festivals. The annual Mountain Harvest Festival takes place in Paonia and Cedarredge has its own Applefest . Don't forget corn mazes and Pumpkin patches. Your guests will also enjoy celebrating Octoberfests in the area and if golfing is your thing.....we are known for some of our golf courses. So, if you are planning a Colorado Destination Wedding don't miss this hidden gem. We are unique in the fall, as the wedding venue is on an elk ranch. The months of September and October are usuallly known as the elk mating season. One of the fascnating aspects of this ritual is the bugling of the elk bulls. Many of our Bride and Grooms experience the sound of bugling as the backdrop noise during the wedding ceremony. I am 100% sure those weddings will be talked about for a long time. We can be a DIY venue as well as a full-service wedding venue. Looking for a relaxed wedding venue check out our weekend package!!
