Congratulations on your engagement! There are lots of decisions when planning your wedding. Especially, when it comes to choosing the right professionals for your big day. You have probably heard the terms “wedding planner,” “day of coordinator,” and “venue manager." In this wedding blog, we will discuss the difference of each term.
.
Wedding Planner
A wedding planner is is a person who organizes your entire wedding. They offer services that include: Budgeting, suggesting top vendors in your area, helping with design and style of your wedding , creating a detailed timeline for your entire wedding right down to when your invitations should be sent out. Wedding planners also help handle any issues that might come up during the planning process and especially on the wedding day. You might ask why hire a wedding planner. Antler Ridge Weddings is located in Colorado and has been in the business for 9 years. We woul would say if you are looking for a stress-free wedding experience and want a professional to guide you every step of the way, considering a wedding planner is the way to go. They are known to save time, money and alot of headaches.
.
Day of Coordinator
A day of coordinator specifically takes care of all the details on the wedding day. there responibilities start about a month before the wedding. Usually their responsibilities require:
Reviewing contracts and confirming all the last minute details with the vendors, writing out a detailed timeline for the day. They also will be on site during your wedding to handle setup, making sure your vendors arrive and that your wedding day keeps on schedule according to the timeline. At Antler Ridge Weddings, Brides most often hire a day of coodinator because they still want to be involved and love DIY projects. By hiring a day of Coordinator Brides can still plan and make all there decor but when the day comes they can turn it over to the day of coordinatior to do all the hard work and to make sure it is executed perfectly. Leaving you to enjoy your wedding day.
.
Venue Manager
A venue manager is employed by the wedding venue or is the owner and is responsible for a: Getting the venue ready for your wedding day, making sure your vendors have access to the venue, enforcing rules that are specific to the venue, making sure the lights, heating etc are working and answering questions that the Day of Coordinator might not know. The Venue Managers main job is managing the logistics of the venue. They do not manage wedding detail or coordination.
