Newly engaged? Eat, Drink, Be Merry and fall in LOVE this Christmas
Antler Ridge Weddings near Grand Junction, Colorado is a beautiful place year round, but Christmas seems extra magical with our San Juan mountain views and the elk in the snow. The wedding venue is located on an elk ranch so of course you will have elk at your wedding. One of our favorite traditions on the ranch is a night of tractor and hay rides complete with Christmas music, hot chocolate, a fire and friends and family. It's so fun and magical to sit together on hay bales driving around the ranch on a snowy night. Elk are curious animals and run and follow the hay trailer across the fence in the pastures. It is magic!!!

Christmas Tree
Will you head to the mountains and cut your own tree? If you do, one suggestion we have learned the hard way is don't over estimate your ceiling height! We usually come home with one a few feet taller that our living room! Some people love going to their local tree farm and enjoying in the festivities while getting the perfect tree. Maybe artificial trees are the way you go, but there is still so much choice around the shape, style, type of tree to decide on!
Family Ornaments
We love getting an ornament every year that represents something significant on the year we had. That turned into a fun traditions with the kids who love picking out their own ornament every year. This year you could get a wedding dress ornament!
Christmas Parade
Most communities have a celebration bringing the Christmas spirit local! Our town, Montrose, CO has a Christmas parade that highlights a lot of the youth activities and sports, it is so fun to go...and usually cold! Bake Christmas Cookies
Spark each other's creative cooking skills and bake your favorite Christmas cookies together! This will help you learn more about each other and what your favorite cookies were as a kid, and help you to find your favorite recipe together. Whatever you do, don't start a food fight, don't dance to your favorite Christmas songs, and don't fling frosting at your fiancé's face....that would make it way too fun of a tradition :) Check out one of our locally owned bakeries in Montrose .
